Having completed The Anaphylaxis
Train The Trainer course accredited by The Royal College of Nursing (Cert no 088327) I can provide training for both family
and professional use.
I have delivered many courses on the management of casualties suffering
with anaphylactic shock and the management of people who have the potential to have an anaphylactic reaction ie children in
a childcare setting. This training also includes the use of Epi Pens, Ana Pens and the new Jext pen.
Recently
I have been requested to go in to a number of homes to provide detailed information to families that have a child or
adult who has had prescribed an Epi Pen or Ana Pen. In this case it is important that the family feel confident
in the use of the device and are also aware of what to do if the device doesn't have the desired result. During
my visit I will provide the following information and practice sessions:
- Dealing with
an unconscious casualty
- Resuscitation
of an Anaphylactic Casualty
- Video
Presentation on Anaphylaxis
- Training
session using trainer Epi Pens and Ana Pens
The normal duration of the session is about
2hrs and the course can be run in your home or at your setting. This training and certification will meet the requirements
of insurance providers.
