Having successfully completed the Epilepsy and Rectal Diazepam trainer
course run by The National Society for Epilepsy, I have run many courses throughout the country for families and carers of
epileptic adults and children. I can provide training in the use of Rectal Diazepam and Buccal Midazolam. A full course will
last for 6hrs Approx and will cover the following topics:
Epilepsy Facts, Basic Life Support, Causes of Epilepsy, Seizure Classification,
Partial Seizures, Generalised Seizures, Seizure Management, Triggers & Precipitants, Anti-Epileptic Medications (AED's),
Use of Rectal Diazepam & Buccal Midazolam, Contra-Indications / Cautions, Procedure for Administration and Ethical Issues.
